During the isolation, having no access to my studio, I was suffering from anxiety for more than a month. I was recalling each shelf with paints, each can with brushes, each canvas stretcher, each sheet of paper, each canvas plier, a chair where I used to sit watching the paintings getting dry. Then, I had an idea to install a web camera in my studio. Now, at any moment, I can become a guest at my own place.
O solitude, my sweetest choice by Henry Purcell performed by Alfred Deller is a soundtrack. I think that together with the title that is borrowed from the most famous essay of Virginia Woolf, that starts saying that a woman must have a room of her own for solitude and work if she is to create, the music not only sets the mood, but gives it some irony. Moreover, by coincidence, the last verse of the song mentions Apollo whose name in the mythology was connected with epidemics:
O, how I solitude adore!
That element of noblest wit,
Where I have learnt Apollo's lore,
Without the pains to study it.
